This weekend I watched

- The Princess Bride [special edition] (v. good)
- Monster in Law (p. good)
- Indiana Jones & The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (still enjoyed it)
- Harry Potter & The Philosopher’s Stone (always reminds me of Christmas)
- Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets (a lot better than the first one and a lot better after watching it way after originally watching it)
- Two discs of Dead Like Me season 1 (always v. good)

Allow me to expand on the following:

Monster In Law

This was actually very good, I enjoyed it.  Thank god my mom isn’t like Jane Fonda.  I would hate for her to sprinkle cat hair in my girlfriend’s gravy.

Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets

So I said that it was better than the first one and “a lot better after watching it way after originally watching it” – what I meant by that is that I wasn’t really impressed by the movie, but at the time, enjoyed it much more than the latest Bond flick (Die Another Day).  But at the time I didn’t like it that much.  But I haven’t seen it in a while and this time around I enjoyed it a lot more.  The second movie was already moving in the direction that Azkaban started – darker but still riddled with silly puns.  Also it had the best line: “But I didn’t touch Mrs. Norris!”
